It is an innate desire of human beings to look attractive regardless of the hair type they have. Each ethnic race has its own standards of beautiful hair. These days, people pay much attention to the state of their hair. This element of our bodies has pure aesthetic function. However, the latter should not be underestimated, for millions of men and women suffer from this lurking fear of going bald. Mere presence of some beautiful hair strands on the scalp is of not much significance if not with coupled with some healthy and voluminous hair to match. You can have both the beauty and quantity if you follow some faster hair growth tips.

Logically, to be able to take good care and preserve hair beauty, we should know what hair growth actually is and how it grows. To start with, one should realize that hair is made of dead protein cells, called keratin. Protein, being digested in the body, forms different amino acids. The latter can be connected in the particular combinations, producing different forms of protein in our organisms: keratin, collagen, insulin, etc. The first one is the source of our hair.

Lanugo is one of the very first hairs a human being acquires. It appears on the skin surface during the intrauterine development of a baby. Lanugo is silky, glossy, and almost invisible, since it has no pigment. Besides lanugo, there are three more types of the human hair: – vellus hair, which is soft, fine, short, and non-pigmented; – terminal hair is pigmented and quite long; male arms, chest, and legs hairs are terminal, as well as hairs on the scalp; – intermediate – it is something in between the first two types; it is usually moderately pigmented.

The structure of the hair has two main parts: the hair shaft (the actual hair we can see on the skin surface) and the hair follicle (the point from which hair grows). Hair cells are formed in hair bulb, which is nothing but lower part of a cup-shaped hair follicle. The newly produced cells push the older ones out of the bulb. A hair bulb contains nutritious elements, oxygen, and amino acids necessary for hair growth, as well as eumelanin or pheomelanin pigment melanin; former makes our hair black or brown while latter accounts for red or blond hairs).

All the cells pushed out of the bulb continue to move out of the follicle, and beyond its boundaries they are known as hair shaft. The hair shaft consists of the inner part (cortex), which contains small amounts of water, vitamins, fats, pigment, and the traces of different metals. Cortex is covered by a protective layer – cuticle. If the latter is smooth, glossy, and undamaged, hair looks beautiful else it loses its shine and smoothness.

Just like the plants, which have periods of active growth and time to rest, our hair has the anagen phase, when new hair cells are constantly produced, the catagen phase, when hair stops growing and prepares to have some rest (1-2 weeks), and the telogen phase – resting time itself, during which all fully grown hairs are shed (5-6 weeks). Then everything starts all over again.

Growth of healthy hair largely depends on its normal healthy functioning and structure. The hair structure is divided into two parts – the non living part that is projected out of the skin of the scalp and the other living part, that remains buried inside the scalp skin. Both hair parts have various functions to perform, besides being an integral component of the hair growth cycles. Alteration in the normal cyclical process of hair growth is one of the main causes of hair loss. The factors that affect the normal hair growth cycle are hormonal imbalance and genetics. Though it is hard to take care of the above two factors of hair loss, it is essential for you to keep your hair clean and healthy with the use of well-formulated cleansers and conditioners.

Chemotherapy – Chemo – targets fast growing cancer cells in the body. Unfortunately, treatments generally do not discriminate among cancer and other fast(er) growing cells in our body such as hair and nails. As a result, patients often experience severe hair loss during treatment. Hair growth after Chemo requires proper hair care to help accelerate healthy hair growth.

Common cancer treatments include Chemotherapy, which there are several primary treatments, Radiation Therapy and Hormonal Therapy. All typically affect hair growth, the hair follicle growth cycle or destroy the follicles and their ability to reproduce.

Fortunately hair loss symptoms disappear after treatment and hair growth returns – though not always as expected. My mother for instance, experienced soft, curly hair growth following several chemo treatments for breast cancer – which she won, by the way! Previously her hair was wavy and somewhat coarse.

Generally, the timing and dosage of chemo will have a direct impact on hair loss. The larger the dosage or the more rapidly the treatments, the more severe the loss.

It is common for hair growth to return two to three weeks after treatments end and normal hair growth can be expected to return within a month. Normal hair growth is 4-6 inches per year, so it may take 3-6 months before manageable stylable hair is grown.

For hair growth after chemo, stimulation of the hair follicles, accelerating blood flow and nutrients, and providing proper (and lost nutrition) is essential to restoring healthy hair and hair growth.

We recommend several types of products for hair growth after chemo to promote faster growing hair and to re-grow new hair:

Follicle Stimulators – Follicle Stimulators are topical applications used to promote faster hair growth. Rich in Trichogen and scalp nutrients, follicle stimulators use clinically proven ingredients to promote faster hair growth and invigorate new hair re-growth.

Trichogen, developed and tested in France, is a unique trichogenic complex which make-up the hair growth complex. It consists of a selection of synergistic components of botanical, biotechnological and synthetic origin. This ingredient is composed of many components that when combined together they become Trichogen. It stimulates blood flow, aids in blocking DHT, and has been shown to work in over 88% of tested subjects.

DHT Blockers – Though not a direct hair stimulant, DHT blockers are formulated to block DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) which often is a function of hormonal changes – common in chemotherapy or hormonal therapy. DHT blockers use natural ingredients that help to block the 5 alpha reductase enzyme that must be present for DHT to form.

It is important to note that blocking the enzyme is important, but equally important is adding extreme amounts of vitamins and aminos to your diet. This is because the hair has been mal-nourished and must be jump started. This is why scalp stimulation is also important to re-establish blood supply.

Hair Vitamins – Your body needs nutrition and it is necessary for your hair to grow properly, and hair vitamins help. Amino acids build protein chains in the hair shaft. As your hair grows up and out of the scalp it is reproducing rapidly and making these protein chains. By giving your body more of the amino acids, hair grows faster and healthier.

B Group vitamins get your hair growing faster and minerals form the bonds in the hair. Chemo generally strips vital nutrients, so vitamins, nutrients, minerals, and amino acid compounds help promote healthy hair growth.

Facing chemo hair loss can be difficult and embarrassing – adding to a very difficult life challenge. Proper diet and utilizing hair care products formulated to restore natural hair re-growth can help combat the effects of chemo and restore natural, healthy hair.

Genetics is a big part of the type of hair you will have. There is no instant answer for instant hair growth. There a quite a few things that can be done to maximize the potential of your hair growth cycle but it is silly to think that you can go to bed one night with a short, neck lengthened bob and awake the following morning with locks down your back. There are rare exceptions but most hair is genetically programmed to grow no more than 6 inches per year.

A lot of people aren’t aware that once the hair is out of the hair shaft it doesn’t have the ability to renew itself and is considered to be dead protein. Your average person has about 100,000 strands of hair on their head and their average growth is about ½ of an inch per month. Not per day or week, but per month. Needless to say, it takes time to get a decent length of hair if your starting from scratch. Even if you do the best that you can to take care of your hair it will still go through an aging process which can also come into play with the impact of your personal growth cycle.

?

Certain vitamins and minerals play a major part in keeping your hair thick and healthy. The lack thereof can lead to thinning or even more so, baldness. The hair reflects the physical condition of the body so if you should happen to have an under active thyroid, it can result in brittle or frizzy hair, while an over active thyroid could produce limp or greasy hair.

To nip it all in the bud, take good care of your hair and your body, now knowing that your physical well-being also effects the health of your hair.

Do you have dry frizzy hair, if your hair falling out? Have you colored your hair and hate the dry frizzy hair you now have? Do you have split ends? Breakages? You may have noticed that your hair is growing to slow and you now want faster hair growth

Well you can fix it with a good diet and I am going to recommend a few things to eat that will grow your hair longer

First step to grow longer hair is to take a good multivitamins, biotin, and drinking plenty of water. With it- this simple tip is so powerful and by itself will help your hair grow faster

Next step is you need protein for fast hair growth; this includes peanut butter, steak, chicken, etc. Protein is really good for your hair and it will make your hair grow faster however be sure to drink plenty of water to rid your body of the toxins that protein produces when digested.

Understand that without the right nutrition your hair will begin thinning or even fall out you need the right balance of amino acids and B-vitamins. Key vitamins for hair growth include vitamin B-6, biotin, Inositol and folic acid; you also want the following minerals in your diet such as magnesium, sulfur, silica and zinc

Another key mineral for hair growth is Beta-carotene. This mineral is key because it is converted to vitamin A, which is crucial to long hair growth it will also help maintain normal body growth and bone development; vitamin A will promote the growth of healthy skin, hair and nails.

To get Beta-carotene, be sure to consume green and yellow vegetables and fruits.

And I mentioned above protein Is Important for long hair growth

as hair is composed of keratin which is a protein, a diet that is low in protein may cause hair loss and hair thinning. So be sure to consume lots of protein-as it will result in improved hair growth.

Other supplements that will promote long hair growth include calves liver, brewer’s yeast, wheat germ and a granulated lecithin to promote long hair growth, strong hair and overall beautiful hair.

Soy protein has been proven by numerous studies to strengthened the hair and promote fast hair growth. To get soy drink lots of soy milk!

To promote fast hair growth , be sure to stop smoking , stop consuming diet and regular sodas, these tend to stop normal hair growth, be sure to avoid sugary foods

a very important factor in promoting hair growth is to treat it delicately, stop unnecessary brushing, combing or handling. Do not use hot water when washing your hair; do not use hot blow dryers or other hair care tools that may stress the hair with heat or chemicals

.
You also want to use a weekly scalp massage to provide instant stimulation to the hair follicles. This will get your hair growing fast

Do a series of ongoing herbal oil treatments to protect and nourish the hair’s shaft. I recommend Mira hair oil! And finally be sure to get regular trims to remove split ends and allow the hair to look and feel healthier.

And finally for long hair growth keep stress away from your life and get plenty of rest and sleep to allow your body to grow hair at an acierated pace.

You’ve been trying for years to grow you hair, but it seems that it has reached a point where it won’t grow anymore and it is thinner. You may think that it’s just because you are getting older and that’s the way it is.

There are some things you can do to help your hair get healthy naturally and promote hair growth. Have you checked your shampoo bottle for the ingredients? Just like you do when you are on a special diet, you should be reading shampoo labels also.

Up until the 1950’s, people used hair soap for their hair. It didn’t lather that much, so out came the rich creamy shampoos that wash your hair with luxurious lather. Wait! Have you read the labels on these shampoos? Carefully read the label because if it contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Laureth Sulfate, they are going to dry your hair, causing frizzy hair, split ends and breakage. If your’e using shampoos everyday that contain these harsh chemicals or detergents (which are also used as an engine degreasers…no joke), then that might be one of the reasons why your hair won’t get any longer than shoulder length.

After switching your shampoo to a brand that doesn’t contain these ingredients, which can be found in the health section of most stores, you’ll need to look at what kind of water you are washing your hair with. If you are living in the city, you are washing your hair in chlorine possibly everyday. We all know that chlorine is a harsh chemical and I wouldn’t buy a hair care product with that in it, would you?

What I would buy, would be a water filter that fit my shower nozzle, so that I could have purified water to wash and rinse my hair with everyday. After using one for several months now, I can really notice the difference it’s made in my hair thickness, length and overall shine.

Some people living in the suburbs might shampoo with well water, now that sometimes causes dry frizzy hair too, and filtered water would be a great alternative for that. You sometimes can pick out people that have certain types of well water, their old photos show they used to have straight hair. Now they have big frizzy uncontrollable hair! At least there is a solution that can get their hair shiny and silky again.

When deciding on what hair growth treatment you need, you can save money by making your own that can result in new hair growth if used as a regular treatment for several months. One hair growth treatment you should try is mixing aloe vera and triphala which is an herbal powder and apply to your hair for 15 to 20 minutes weekly. You also can buy aloe vera or coconut oil based organic shampoos and treatments in the health section.

There could be many other reasons why your hair has stopped growing, such as too-hot hair dryer, exposing your hair to UV rays, not eating right, over-processed hair, lack of sleep and hormonal changes. Look at the well known name brand hair growth treatments out there, and some of them may work for you. But it might be worth giving some of these techniques a try first. It will take some time, but you may be pleasantly surprised at the positive difference in your hair.
